Meet Palesa Matjekane, CEO Miss Polo Universa SA/Africa

Palesa Matjekane is a distinguished South African changemaker, speaker, and humanitarian, currently serving as the CEO of Miss Polo Universe Africa and an international judge for Miss Polo Universe. She was crowned Mrs South Africa 2023 and is recognized for her unwavering commitment to digital inclusion and social justice.

As a digital inclusion activist, Palesa is dedicated to creating opportunities for marginalized communities through access to technology, education, and leadership. Her work has made a significant impact, particularly in advocating for women and girls' rights. In 2021, she was honored by the Malala Fund for her resilience and leadership in championing education access for girls.

Palesa's accolades include the International Humanitarian Award and her appointment as Goodwill Ambassador to Russia by the Minister of Arts and Culture. Her contributions to society have earned her recognition as the South African Women’s Leader 2024 and a place among the Influential Women of the Year 2024 for her outstanding leadership and social contributions.

As the visionary founder of Women In Formation Africa NPO, Palesa leads the Rise & Thrive podcast and empowerment platform.
